Default P0336, questions!

well, my car started running like crap last nite. it started hesitating and bucking a couple times and today, i couldn't get it to keep running at all. very rough idle,

i A-tapped it and got three P0336 codes. it's listed as crankshaft position sensor performance.

EDIT: now im reading that if i have a P0336 but no P0335, the crank sensor is probably still good but needs to "relearn". does this sound about right???

1) i've heard i can use a Tech II tool to relearn the CKS range, but what the hell is a tech II???? will my mechanic friend probably have one?????

2) should i replace the crank sensor anyway??? is it an expensive part???

3) will "relearning" the CKS screw up my tune or anything????

please help, this stupid car won't even run for a solid minute !

The CKP relean is a very quick procedure. It will not require reflashing the program, however, make sure you know your dealer, cause sometimes they'll slip in an "update" while they have the car....

The Tech II is required to do the procedure.
