Question Trouble code P1416

Hey guys...I just bought my 2000 T/A about a week ago and everything has been awesome so far except I was driving around yesterday and the SES light came on, I scanned it and it popped up a P1416 manufacturer specific code so I called the GM dealership and the dumb guy there didn't even know what an LS1 was, but after he finally put one of the service techs on, the service tech told me it was an air injection circuit code or something and that I might have got water in it, and yeah I never had a code like this and was just wondering if any of u guys had this code or what some possible causes might be so I can check and get rid of it! Any info is greatly appreciated!!! Craig

DTC P1416 Secondary Air Injection (AIR) System Bank 2

Not sure what the problem is, but thats what the definition for the code is...Hopefully it'll at least give you a starting point.

You may want to have a look at your passenger side check valve( # 30 in the pic), Just may be fried/burnt, that's a typical code for that problem .... some GM techs really suck at their jobs

Replacing the air check valve on the passenger side fixed mine - it was full of carbon. GM PN is 12565503 but available at a local parts store for about $16?
