Code 336? Need some Help
Does anyone know what code 336 means? Took my Z up to autozone because the service engine light was on and it came up with code 336 which I think is the knock sensor module code, but not sure
How serious is this code? Do I need to get it fixed immediately or can I wait a week until I get back to Dallas?
Any help much appreciated

Crank position sensor, or the harness bad, or you need to do a Crank Position Sensor Relearn (GM dealer can do this).

Not sure, I don't have any experience with that type of problem in an Fbody. I did see a Regal throwing the same code though...sometimes it wouldn't start (turnover forever) and sometimes it would die while driving and while making turns. I would get it fixed soon.

336 is when u need to do a re-learn. Either a tech 2 device or EFI pro 6. You might be able to try EFI pro 5. The CKP ONLY sees if there are any misfires. Driving cannot do any harm as again it is only if the PCM detects a misfire. In your case it just needs a re-learn.
