i have been having cold start problems lately and i couldnt figure out what it was so i took my car to a good mechanic. he said it had a code for the map sensor but the ses light was only on for a day or so even tho the car was still having the problem. in the mornings i start it and it just stumbles then dies multiple times, getting worse each day. it has has an idle surge randomly. does this sound like the map sensor?

i have cleaned the throttle body and changed the plugs so those factors are eliminated.
