Default "Service Vehicle" light when sd tuning

Is the service vehicle light normal when sd tuning? All the maf codes have the ses light turned off already...

is the SES disabled completely or just set not to set the light? if the MAF codes are disabled completely, the car won't be able to go into SD mode and if it sees a MAF rate of 0 all the time it's going to go whacky not knowing what to do

The ses codes are still on, but the lights have been turned off. After plugging the maf back in, the "Service Vehicle' light turned off. What is this light set for and is it normal when SD tuning?

the Service Vehicle is for non emissions issues detected...

hmmm... come to think of it... I'm not sure if the Service Vehicle light being on is normal or not... I don't have ABS in my car so my Service Vehicle light is on all the time...

Any other SD guys know if the SV light is normal?

Blake, I set the SES enable to "off" for all 3 MAF codes... that's SD mode as far as I know... if you set the "No error reported" and leave the SES enable "On" it pops up that service vehicle light... I didn't like that either...

*EDIT* Sorry this is Will...

SO why does everyone say to leave the SES enabled and just turn off the mil lights?

well... you can do what you wanna, but i did what i explained above and got my VE inline... and yes i know i was in SD mode since my secondary was the only thing i tuned, and it was adjusting my fuel trims...

BTW, even with the SES Enable set to "off" The PCM was tripping MAF code 102...
