This is just for starters, but direct your attention to the adaptive idle RPM ECT threshold. If you have a low-temp thermostat, you will see that quite often you do not reach the threshold.

I am still fighting with these new spark PIDs. They are not telling me too much. My Idle Spark is always zero, which is kind of irritating. I have a feeling it may be part of my timing problem though. Among other things...

Wouldn't you get a low engine temp SES light if it wasn't reaching the threshold? My timing is active at idle.

I think what it does is prevent your Long Term Idle Trims from becoming active. I think that is what it does.
