Can you run autotap or other software on in dash recievers?

Can you run autotap or other software on in dash recievers? for example, lets say i have one of those dvd/mp3/cd players that has the 7 inch screen that comes out and up. can you run software on it like a lap top, or is it only a monitor, and you would need a lap top to run it?

Man that would be great.......
However what I have thought about doing is hooking my laptop up to it like you would your tv and keeping my laptop closed in the floor....You wouldnt be able to change thigns but u could see what going on.......My laptop can be closed and work
Plus I have a really old one that the screen went out which would work perfectly as well......
At night my laptop gives a really bright light so this would help me out a lot...
