Anyone else notice this about idle surging?
Sorry if this is already common knowledge, but I've read what seems like thousands of posts, and I've never seen it typed before.
I noticed this a few times last year, but I kinda figured everyone already knows it. But just in case, I'll post it anyway.
I tuned my car in the middle of the summer(~80degF). For idle, I would set it so that when warm, the IAC would count about 30-35. However in cold weather(~55degF), I'd still get idle surging. While watching real-time with EFI Live, I noticed that any time the IAC reaches 0, the engine (IAC) would surge up.
I think, this year with all the new changes I'm doing, I'm going to try to tune with the IAC closer to 50 in park and see what happens.

if your IAC hits 0 it no longer has control over your idle, that is why you get surging, either make the hole smaller in your TB blade, or close it if its open a tad, or raise your Idle rpm, that will make the IAC go up.
