Default A4 to M6 swap reflash?

I am getting ready to switch from a A4 to a M6 when I rebuild my engine and I have an HP tuners on the way. What am I going to need to do so all those automatic codes don't appear? Get it reflashed for a six speed or is there something in HPT that I can use to fix this?

what licenses did you decide on w/your HP Tuners? (what years and models) ... depending on this there are a few options

But at minimum so long as it's not a 98 , you can go to the .bin repository above, find a stock M6 .bin file, and use HPT to do a full rewrite... then you'll have an M6 PCM ... very easy change

ok... in your situation then... just grab a M6 file from my site, do a full rewrite (read instructions first.... this is the only scenario that can leave a PCM inoperable... make sure laptop is charged or better plugged in... make sure screensaver is off... make sure car is fully charged and battery is good)

then you can go in and change the VIN to your own if you wish

I have Edit which is probably inferior to HPT, so I did the ghetto special. Fired up the car and read all the SES codes and turned them off.
