Question problems with emission test ?

can anyone help i got an 02 camaro ss. i'm running full lenth headers with no cats and i live in pa. Pa's emission testing plugs into the obd2 diagnostic port and it is telling me that its thowing an evap code and a heated oxegen sensor code. the shop tells me to drive it for a couple days and bring it back and it might be ok. i have o2 simulators and my battery was dead for about 5 months. does anyone know why its doing this or what i should do about it? thanks- - mike

If you have or know somebody that has a tuner, HP, LS1 edit, or EFI can turn off the codes, set to "no error reported". That should take care of your problem with the OBD II test part of it.

Since your battery was disconnected, the pcm runs all the tests over again. If you put a couple hundred miles on the car, those tests will complete. The inspection shop is right.
