Default I made a convert PCM :)

I took my 2000 car and flashed it with a 2001 OS...cut and pasted every possible table so it would have all the right stuff for a 2000....
started right up...tried to idle funny at first ...tried to die anytime it had to refind idle after a little bit of gas...turned the car off...turned it back on...and it runs perfect
I guess it was just the learn procedure the car has to go thru or something...

changed so I could get rid of table 2 on VE as well as several other tables that I wanted to have

You won't be able to have your vin on that OS if I remember correctly. HPT doesn't allow you to change the vin unless it matches the correct year OS. EFI Live you can because it doesn't use the VIN for its licensing, it uses the PCM ID.

I have done this about six months ago when we first got full reflash capabilities with Tuners. It has made SD tuning less of a headache i can tell you that. Mine was an 00 that was flashed to an 01. The only thing that irks the bejessus outta me is the fact I cant use my orginal vin

so how would that work with emissions? do they check the car's year vs vin's year?

I also have efilive so I can change it when i am ready. But tuners needs to really re think the vin constraints for people who are actually doing this

in IL now it's just a ODB2 read too, that's why i'm worried they might be looking at the computer stuff more than before, and catch things like wrong year pcm and start asking questinons we don't want to answer
