Default Fuel guage pegged past full... help troubleshooting?

Hey all,

My battery ran down and I had to charge the battery. At the same time I needed to swap the computer out. All is well except the Fuel guage is stuck all the way past (totally pegged on the side of the cluster) full, and the "Check Guages" light is on. Every other guage is fine, though I havent driven the car, so I cant totally vouch for the speedometer.

Anyone know the computer pin out on a 99 for the guage? What the full voltage should be (vs empty) etc?

thanks,
Chris

I fixed it by doing somethign Ive never done before.

I gave the dashboard a (very frustrated) whack... a damn hard one too... and the needle sprung back to where it was supposed to be.

Percusive Maintenance?

heh, i was going to suggest pulling the cluster, tipping it upside down, and tapping it with your hand to make the needle move back to the "normal" region of the gauge... but that works too. lol
