shoud i get my car tuned?

shoud i get my car tuned? right now all i have is basic bolt on mods. i have slp airbox lid, k&n air filter, dynomouth exhaust. should i take my car for a tune? or should i do more, THEN tune?
the original plan i had was to get some pacesetter LTs put on then take it and have it tuned later.
i dont know anything about tuning. a friend told me it would make a huge difference. he says they tune your pcm and make a custom "diablo?" chip for it. i do know i need to have my mods done BEFORE i tune. should i put the headers then tune or try tuning without them?

Those bolt on will make more of a difference with a tune, but I would definately wait to put the LT's on before the tune, it'll be more worth it then, but while your at it throw a cam and some valve springs in then the tune will really count
