I have efi live v7 and I have done the basics to tune my car....what would happen if i got maf less?? I have been wondering this and I have read articles and posts. But if i unplug the maf what good would it do me? is the maf that shitty?

no, not really, it's not shitty. it's not the bottleneck that everyone says it is either. the only true limitations are when everything else in intake tract is much bigger (90/90 combo and such), or forced induction, that maxes out the maf very easily. my SD and MAF modes are so tuned I can't tell the difference which one it is anymore, if I keep the SES light on in SD. the real thing that is an actual limitation of SD mode is working off one timing table, instead of two, but they have 'enhanced SD' now that can fix it too. so for most practical purposes, pick your poinson, it doesn't really matter. I like MAF, but because I like to tweak so much, i'm usually in SD so MAF doesn't muddy up my numbers.

You don't need a wide band to go Speed Density ... wide band is used for WOT or Open Loop tuning.
