Default What programs tune a 98?

Seems like noone does or has anything to tune a 98. Ive heard the pcm's are a little different. I just need 2 codes programmed out EGR & AIR but noone here has the right stuff needed. My dads EFI live is only for 99+ which SUCKS and leave me SOL. Can you put a newer PCM in a 98 and it work right?

no, you can only use a 98 f-car comptuer, or 97-98 vette computer in a 98 f-car.

You should be able to find somebody with hptuners to tune it out.

Only edit and HPTuners have current software to support the 98's, When EFI live does, it will be free.

If you can wait, then use your dad's EFI live when they support 98s. From all accounts it won't be much longer for EFI live to support tuning for 98's. And as stated above, licenses for 98's is unlimited, so no use to spend money for a tuner when you can use your dad's.

For now, if you don't want to wait, then check out the EFI live forum and search for Wait4ME. He will do it for $75. He knows his ---t. You can do a search for his site too. Can't post here for obvious reasons since he isn't a sponsor.

HP tuners and LS1 edit are your only choices right now....

HP tuners has supported 98s for over a year now....

if all you need is codes deleted... post up in your reginal section.. anyone w/a 98 HPT can help you.... deleting codes is simple and shouln't cost money (IMHO)

If I had a method fo flashing 98 PCMs (I have the softwarel... but not the hardware) I'd take care of you in exchnage for shipping

Try posting in the midwest and southern section.

What codes do you need deleted? What kind of problems are you having?

If your ever in st. louis or around the area myself or a few others can take care of the tune.
