is there a way to use less petrol when idling, I have a stock cam and can drop my idle down to 650rpm, do you think that would help??

Would puting car in open loop and commanding a leaner AFR for idle also help??

i am stuck in a lot of peak hour traffic and car is uslly just idling away sucking down the juice
