Default P0420 Catalyst code and the Best fix.

I have a 2002 Trans Am with the Dynatech SuperMAXX Header System. {high flow cats}
Total mileage 16,471 but only 5000 miles on the headers & cats.

Recently had these codes logged:
H P0420 Catalyst System Low EfficiencyBank 1 Check for Failure Record Info
H P0141 H02S Heater Circuit Bank 1 Sensor Check for failure record info
H P0300 Engine Misfire Detected

So, it appears that the drivers side rear O2 sensor is throwing the code, right?

Searching here leaves me with the clue that there are two fixes.

(A) O2 sims Lowest vendor price = $89.99 Per Pair + shipping.

(B) 2002 CHEVROLET CORVETTE O2's that have a higher wattage heater.
Oxygen Sensor OE Type After Catalyst, Brand Bosch Price $62.85 each, free shipping!

Questions:

If I put in O2 sims, I’m going to have to manually remove and check the catalytic converters every few years, because there will never be any efficiency monitoring through the PCM, right?

If I put in the Corvette rear O2's, it costs me ~$28 more, but the system functions as designed.

Which is the better choice, and why?

Thanks

I would say get sims or ask in your region who can delete the codes the cheapest...or see a sponsor as some of them will only charge you a few bucks to delete codes(at least the smart ones that would like to make a new customer)

Now forgive any mistake here, 'cause I'm not a tuner.

Now this deleting codes trick. Does it remove any/all reference(s) to the sensor in software,
OR does it just mask the code results?

Two street tunerz said they could program the PCM to: "turn off the codes" and "That can be tuned out"

Now, how do I know the difference between masking the problem, and deleting all references that the rear o2 ever existed?

BTW:
Is it true that replacing the rear O2 sensors with sims is not seen by the PCM?

the low efficiency code can be thrown due to the high flow cats. i do custom exhaust systems about two to three times a week and alot run high flow cats due to e-check around me, and almost all i have done will throw that code.
