Default PCM RPM limits

I've heard it said here that the PCM won't operate past 8000. I didn't do it on purpose, but I logged 8137 RPM over the weekend when my car wouldn't shift.

WOW!!!!!!!! I think the PCM uses the last fueling value in the 8k colum and applies that for values past that.

What were you doing to spin the motor past 8k and is it still together?

Yeah, it is still together (FFHP short block), but like I said, it was an accident. My McLeod master cylinder seems to have gone south will sitting there waiting for the short block and it did not want to shift. Since I have a proshifted trans, I didn't bother to lift. And, I forgot I had backed the rev limiter off until I figured out where she quit pulling.
