Default Tuneing LT St fuel trims 99 SS ?

Trying to tune my car after a cam install and I can't get the LT ST fuel trims right. I scan do the steps and the numbers get better and then scan again and they get worse. I have noticed that when I first start my car and drive it the LT trims stay at -2 and it runs great lots of power but as the car warms up the LT trims go to -4 to -10 range and runs slower. What makes the car do this?

First off, are you in Speed Density (SD) mode? Have you disabled your MAF sensor? Are you letting the LTFT's learn? It takes 100 miles or more for them to learn out the changes.

Yes i'm in SD mode and unhooked the MAF sensor. I did not know it takes 100 miles for them to learn the changes. So each time I make changes I have to drive 100 miles?

For the most part yes. Some people for this reason disable LTFT's and adjust the STFT's because they are correct for that exact moment. Then when they are close, double check the LTFT's and make any necessary adjustments.
