Default PCM Input Signals

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum! We are a small company in Switzerland, building our own cars using an 1999 LS1 engine and a Porsche G50 gearbox.

We really only want to use what is really necessary and therefore I would need to know the following:
1. for what does the PCM need to know the fuel level in the two tanks? Will it work without the signal?

2. Same for the EVAP Vacuum Purge Switch signal: what is it used for and will the PCM work without that signal?

I assume that some of this stuff is only used in the ODBII diagnostic mode and we won't use that anyway!

Thanks for the help!

Francis
