I bought a HPtuners cable that was previously used and I'd like to play with my vette some and try to tune it in speed density mode. I've read the stickies at the top of the page, but I never did see a good step by step method for converting my car over to speed density. There is a load of very good tuning information up there, but it would be nice if someone could do a step by step for tuning newbies to learn speed density by. I have a local tuner to me that did my car originally, and he has agreed to help me in his spare time, but that time is hard to come by. Btw, my hptuners cable is version 1.7.

efilive has a good autove tutorial which starts by talking you though changing to SD mode.
Id say tuners would have something similar. You just need to read up more Both methods are the same.

Basically you just disconnect/disable the maf and you are there.
