Default idle after cam install

I just installed heads, cam, and headers in a friends 99 corvette. He bought everything used with very low miles and in perfect shape. The guy he bought everything from was nice enough to send me a copy of his tune to make sure we could get the car to start. I know every car is differnt but I am new to tuning and never messed with a car with a cam, so I just hand copied some of the tune. The car idles great with the a/c on but without it hunts for idle by surging up and about 100 rpms. Will this go away after some miles or will it need to be tuned out? We have only drove the car about 20 miles. The cam is a comp cam .584 .595 232/232, with LSA of 113.

what are you tuning with to begin with? the first thing you wanna do is log your RAF. if your using hptuners, i believe its a histo. if not, go to soundengineers website and download it from there. log that from a cold start and with both fans and the a/c compressor off using the bidirectional controls. if your using efilive, someone else will need to chime in. that should get it started. also raise your idle to about 975 or 1k for now. make a/c 500 rpms more than with no a/c.

I am using efi live. It idles from about 790-850rpms when it is hunting, and with the a/c on it idles smooth at about 850rpms if I remember right. I am at work so I am going off memory.

1. bump ur idle up
2. fix ur RAF
3. adjust your ve from 400-1200

after u do that, then u can lower the idle again to whatever u want as long as it stays on and doesnt hunt. thats my .02
