Question tune?

i just ordered pacesetter lt's and tsp ory. i already have a LM catback. i'm wondering if i'm going to need a a/f tune after i install them. i've heard it makes your car run a little rich.

You can get away without a tune if you're just running bolt-ons. Granted a tune will net you at least another 10hp if done right...but it's not required. You should look into EFI Live if you have patience and access to a laptop. Might as well learn how to do it yourself for the same price someone else will charge you to do it.

No, not exactly. I've done a lot of research on this site and most people have seen a 20 hp and up increase w/o a tune. The most conservative I saw was about 15. Granted, a tune will get you a few more but many people feel it's not worth it it you plan on doing further modification's later.

I am still running stock manifolds, stock cats, 3" y-pipe and LM1, as well as the mods in sig, I only put down 311rwhp and 326rwtq, after the tune I when up to 334rwhp and 354rwtq. Imagine what I could have gained with headers. I would say tune it, I spent about $1500 and only picked up 20rwhp, then I tuned it and picked up 23rwhp and 28rwhp...my best mod by far and only 400 bucks.
