Default what kind of tune?

hey all, i just got done installing my first big mods to my 1998 z-28. longtube headers,catted y-pipe,and magnaflow catback. other mods are high flow lid and free ram air. should i get a tune with these? considering my mods would i benifit with a hand held like maybe a vince or would i benifit more with a dyno tune? how much hp should i gain? any feedback would be great . thanks

If you want to learn to tune, just get hptuners or ls1edit and start tyring it out and figuring out how to tune. They are good write ups too on how to tune. If the exhaust is making you run rich the you will get gains with a good tune.

With headers, tuning would be a benefit. Handheld tuners are not much help in tuning for specific mods and every car will respond differently. Best thing to do is to get HP Tuners or EFILive and learn to do it yourself. The benefit is you can tune to your hearts content and you learn new things about your car.
