1-8 hrs depending upon the tuner, what software he uses and how good he is.

8 hours might be a bit excessive. If the car is tuned on the street prior, it should only take 1-3 hours.

my tune took 6hrs of dyno time & my tuner couldnt get it right...this was with a fairly tame combination. Then again he was using ls1edit at the time which in itself could take an hour of your time just tryign to do 1 read and 4 flashes. So the other 5 were taking in data & making adjustments. If you'd like your tuner taking 1 hr start to finish on a tune feel free...I wouldnt feel comfortable if I only took an hour on a tune though no matter how easy you think it is. There are a few dyno tuners out there that will do group dyno tunes in which they do 2-3 pulls and throw you out lol...I wouldnt consider that a real tune.

If you have a good amount of bolt on parts and/or cam, on average for me, it takes about 2-6 hours total time.

Most of my time is before the dyno, on the street. Once I get it on the dyno it usually takes 1-1.5 hours for the average modded car.

Keep in mind, a lot of REAL shops, even ones that are sponsors here, don't do any real street tuning unless they have a loading dyno.

Try to find a shop with a good reputation tuning LSX's as they will get it dialed in much faster. With my mods and a mail-order tune, my car was done in about 3 hours (six dyno pulls) Also have all of your cars maintenance done before you go.
