99 ecm swap please help
OK so I am putting an engine out of a 98 into a 99 TA. The 99 does not have a pcm (bought it this way). I swapped the harnesses so I am using the 99 engine harness. I have found so far that the oil pressure and coolant temp sending units are different.
First question: Is there anything else different between the two that I need to swap before installing the engine?
Second: What year PCM do I need? Can it only be from a 99 or are there other years that will plug and play?
This is going to be a basic stock build so I'm not looking for anything extravagant. Thanks guys!!!

regarding the year PCM, any 99+ will work, actually... since you're using a 98 motor... they use 28lb/hr injectors (99 and 00 use 26lb/hr), so really depends on how you go about it...
You could tune a 99/00 PCM w/the larger injectors, or you can use an 01/02 PCM
But hardware wise, 99+ PCMs are the same (f-body, truck, and vette up till 02 are all the same... 03 may be also but I'm not sure on that) ... you just flash them (anyone w/a tuning software can do it, or a dealership can do it) to the appropriate Operating System
Regarding sensor differences... coolant temp was the only one I was aware of
