Default Adapting "coil-on-plug"...

Are coil-on-plug coils from any other vehicles physically and electrically adaptable to our sparkplugs and firing system? I'm going to go with a turbo (which should afford me quite a bit of clearance around the plugs) and will be relocating the coils anyway. Instead of mounting the coils on the firewall or framerails, I'm considering this as an option. Has anyone investigated this yet?

Thanks!

I'm sure it could be figured out... but that would be quite a project. Not to mention they usually take up more room around the headers.

I was thinking these coils just "snapped on" the plugs and hung there, but after further investigation it appears they need a support bracket to hold them in place...prolly more trouble than it's worth.
