Delay before DFCO occurs
I changed my DFCO settings to be a bit more aggressive to save gas. All I did was lower the enable RPM to 1300 and the exit RPM to 1100 RPM. This is on a nearly stock 2001 M6 SS. What I was wondering is what is causing the delay before DFCO activates. It seems to take several seconds after I take my foot of the gas before the injectors turn off. I do not see anything in the tables that might cause this (using HPT). How can I get the engine to cut the injectors almost instantly?

You can increase the timing advance needed to be reached before DFCO is activated. If the timing is very low, it may take a while to reach that point. Also you entry rate may slow down the process as well, you may need to increase it.
