my car put up a code p0440....which my scanner tells me it is "Evap Emission Ctrl Sys Error"...what the hell is this. My car runs fine so I'm not too worried. But what the hell is it?!

First thing to check is for a loose, incorrect, or missing gas cap.

Definitely check the gas gap. Read this as well for a more detailed description and things to check.

gas cap was fine....but it was really humid out. does that do anything. also, i have a kenne belle boost a pump. any effects there?
