service engine light NOT ses as it says my dash says service vehicle not the service engine soon light so I am wondering what this is all about. how can I find out what is setting this off?

the only code i have now is a class 2 data link code u1000 would that be the one causing this? not sure what is setting the code but I'll be checking more wires obviously.

i have the bcm, and the dash witch is reading out the service vehicle light for me. is this a serial data info lead or is the a wire on the back of the dash i can supply with power to eliminate these lights with. thanks
