Default lc1 wideband controller

If i were to order the lc1 wideband controller #10-3769 could i hook it up to any wideband sensor and it would work?

The sensor it uses is readily availible from a Volkswagon dealer for under $70. Down Load the Innovate LC1 instructions from the Innovate Website and it has the part number for the O2 sensor it uses listed in it.
