Default STOCK pcm is quite capable

We fired this engine for the first time sunday morning at around 4am. We spent quite a few hours that morning tuning it, then took it to the track and tuned it in the best we could in the short time we had before he had to pack it up for New Jersey for an important race Monday AM (12 hours away).

Computer was tuned using EFIlive, Roadrunner, and OS5. There is no nitrous on the car now, but may in the future.

At E-town Monday, our best pass of the day was a 9.83 @ 135 mph with a 1.29 sixty. That was the only full pass we made without a massive wheel stand or other issues. After nearly hitting the bumper twice, I adjusted the front shocks to #12 setting for stiff and let it rip.

All passes were made on MT ET street Radials, with 93 octane pump gas. Keep in mind this was the first times to the track with this combo, on a brand new engine.

The engine is street friendly 434 cubic inch LS1 by using Darton Sleeves 11.75: 1 compression and a cam motion street roller grind solid cam. Slightly used c5r gm heads and a custom fabbed sb2.2 intake set up for the LSx style heads. The driveability of this engine is just as good if not better than the old engine. It will still see plenty of street duty
