If you ask a generic question, you'll get a generic answer. There is no "best" AFR. That's why people get on dynos - to measure the difference between their car running 28* of timing at 12.8:1 vs. 13.2:1. If you don't have the money/time for a dyno, you can try doing it at the track based on ET/MPH. However, run-to-run variables may cloud the real answer to your question (Am I making more power?).

Every car is diffrent. your best bet is to put it on a dyno with a wideband and make several pulls to find your best AFR.
