Question Weird problem with HPP3 Power Tuning

OK, I've had my HPP3 for quite a few years now...

Picked it up for a $100 bucks a while back just to calibrate the speedo and adjust fan settings....

I remember trying out the Power Tuning once just for kicks and all I got was a $h!tload of detonation

This was on a very hot Summer day many years ago and I haven't used the Power Tuning eversince...

Well, last night the temps dropped dramatically and since I was calibrating my speedo to suit my new MT DR's (26" vs my worn 24.5" Nitto DR's), I figured I'd give the power Tuning another shot...

Started her up and didn't hear any rattles

Went for a short drive and immediately noticed a dip in power

Felt like I had only 75% compared to the stock tune

Found an open stretch and stood on from about 1500 rpm's in 2nd and when she got to 5k rpm's, I got an instant boost in power that felt like VTEC

Tried it in each gear and it did the same thing everytime she hit 5k

In 1st, I can ease on the gas at low RPM's with traction and as soon as it hits 5k the tires just break loose and that's on MT DR's

Feels like the new tuning is just starving her for fuel low in the curve or sumthin

Has anyone else ever had this problem?

Default

Have you datalogged those runs and are you using the stock MAF? Years ago when my car was stock I had a HPP3 and their "powertuning" didn't help at all, in fact it slowed it down.
