Default Tach seems to be off...

Lg said they set my idle at 1200. tach always show to be idling on around 1500. car sounds like it's idling at 1500rpm to me but can't tell with the sorry exhaust system i have on it, but there is not much lope so i'm assuming it's at 1500. sean at lg told me my tach is 300 off. if this is the case, how do i fix the tach, move the needle on the gauge? if the tach isn't off and i'm really on 1500, what could be causing this. i have no codes.

To tell for sure, you need to verify with a scanner. My tach is about 200 rpm off. It reads 1000 when my car idles at 800. Ive just learned to live with it.

Yeah no way your tach is right. I remember watching it when you first started and thought it was reading a little high.
