I know it's in the tune!?!
Car: '05 GTO A4
Mods: TSP 233/239 cam, LT headers, Vig 4200 stall, CAI, UDP, Corsa C/B,
stock 3:46 gears and 17" M/T dr's...stock 4l65e tranny.
My question is at WOT (at the track launching with the car in "3") it hits the rev limiter before it shifts, as it's doing this the car slows doen a bit and then shifts. As far as I know the shift points are around 6700 for 1-2 and 6600 for 2-3. But doesn't the tranny shift according to MPH and RPM?? If I drop it down to "1" and shift at 6000 for the 1-2 and 6300-6400 for the 2-3 it does okay, but I want it to shift on it's own! What's going on?!? I know it in the tune...
TIA

You just have to "tweak" the numbers to get it to shift where you want. 1st, pick either MPH or RPM (most pick rpm). Then, set the other table lower. If you picked RPM, set the MPH trigger for whatever MPH you'd be at in that gear at say 4500rpm. Now, the PCM will depend on the other trigger. So with shiftpoints at ~6700rpm, you're hitting the limiter. Try dropping the shift point 50rpms and see if that helps.
On a side note....sometimes I've noticed an A4 car will perform a WOT shift perfectly while the gear selector is in overdrive. But when you drop the gear selector into drive in the same car, it will hit the limiter. IDK if that's what you're experiencing or not...

all I do is under fuel cutoff I just put the max rpm I want the fuel to be fed at and that sets my rev limiter. and for the shifts I just put whatever RPM i desire. it will go a little above this rpm while shifting so make sure it's not within 100 rpms of your rev limiter.
IE: my fuel/spark cutoff is 6400 rpms, and my trans shift rpm is at 6100. i left the MPH alone for upshifts.
hope I helped some
