Ive been running my car for the last year without a dyno because i heard it was rough on the car just wondering if there was anything to worry about?

It's not any worse than WOT on the track or street.

That would be like running in place hurts your body more than just running.

A dyno is safer than the street.

The only real issue to worry about is heat. Excessive heat is hard on engines and drivetrains. So, make sure there is pleanty of airflow in front and under the car. I like to have two fans going in the front (one pointing at the airbox and one at the radiator shroud) and then a thrid (and possibly fourth) fan behind the front tires hitting the trans/drivetrain. You'd be surprised how much hot air sits under the car on a dyno.

A good dyno shop will prevent many, many more vehicle failures then cause them.
