will the big stuff3 computer work or function with a th400??

You would have to use a discrete output. I.e. you could use a switched RPM output to activate a shift solenoid on your ratchet shifter...

I think if you want your BS3 to shift the trans you need some module from them, I would ask your BS3 supplier about that. The regular BS3 won't do that, which is what I have. I run a rmvb T400.
