Default Software speak the same language?

I tried a search, but can't seem to find this. If lets say I program my car with LS1 EDIT, could someone else go in with different software and have the same control over it like saving the current tune, or changing it again? I guess someone would have to have had this done to know? THANKS

If you're asking can someone use LS1Edit then EFILive then HPTuners then TunerCat then ... The answer is 'generally' yes. There are a few circumstances in which you will run into trouble. The most common are custom operating systems. To my knowledge only HPTuners and EFILive offer them and they (the custom OS) are unique to the respective products. i.e. an HPTuners custom OS can't be read by EFILive, TunerCat, etc. The same is true of an EFILive custom OS. The other problem you can run into is if someone 'locks' the tune. This will prevent any software program from reading it.
