Try going to the forum at the EFILIVE site and do a search for idle tuning.
Very very helpful. some of the write ups have basicly a step by step process if you read through it enough.

I installed a big solid roller cam in my LT1 and was having idle issues, especially when fully warm and driving up to a stop light/stop sign. It would labor down to around 500 rpm despite the PCM setting of 'desired idle' being 1,000 rpm. I looked on this forum and found a GREAT technique described. The author wrote it from an LS1 background and was unsure if it would work on other PCM's. I tried it and it worked for my car too. Idles like a champ now and has perfect manners when pulling up to stop signs. I'll see if I can find it, just in case you haven't yet.
