Default crank reluctor wheel orientation?

I'm thinking of trying to go coil per cylinder on a sbc project of mine using a LSx 24x crank reluctor/sensor and 1x cam reluctor/sensor setup.

I'm questioning whether there is a certain orientation that you have to have w/ regards to the crank reluctor wheel and the #1 cylinder...

I've done a CASE relearn on a couple of vehicles before. Is this is all that is needed for the computer to know where #1 is in relation to the crank reluctor wheel?

I'm thinking of attaching the reluctor between the balancer and crank pulley if possible. If this sounds dumb, any suggestions are welcome. I thought this was the best forum for this question but if not, mods please move.
