tune should stay the same right?
i am getting the LS1 out of my buddies 2000 6-speed SS. he is keeping the PCM and harness and installing a LS7.
i am going to put the LS1 it in my 79 1/2 ton with a th350.
would it be easier if i just bought him a new PCM to be tuned for his LS7 and just used the PCM out of his car in my truck?
i guess what i am asking is, if we just swap the motor from his car to my truck, the tune should not need to be changed, right?
or will the different gear ratio and tire size need to by changed in the PCM? if this is the case, it dosnt really matter if buy a new PCM or use his.
thanks
