ac aridium plugs vs ngk tr55
i was getting some kr that i coundt get rid of until i was down at 22 deg
than there was still some even with 93 oct, now tr55 and no kr
at all whats up with that, and its seems to burn a lot better on my
pico scope. seams like a bigger electrodes on the tr55s .. hum

are both plugs iridium or did you get the copper TR55s.. One is called TR55IX (iridium) and the other just plain ole 55. I'm guessing you got the copper.. which I believe isn't as 'hot' of a spark as iridium..

iridium tips burn much hotter than copper. So, if pinging is just the self igniting of fuel in they cyl, that means that the "hotter" iridium tips are not cooling down as much as the copper ones and is igniting the fuel in the chamber early. Thus a knock event will occur sooner on an iridium with less timing than a copper core plug.

actually the ones i got were tr55 v plugs the just got the v in the tip of the middle
electrode look almost like old still plugs.. how much did you pay for your ngk plugs. thanks guys
