question
about how much hp can i get from a full tune on a dyno. the car only has lid and long tube headers and high flow catted y on a 01 trans am

Depends how far off your AFR is at WOT.
Some cars are close before mods, some are further off. So its debatable how much HP you will gain.
The ECU does some of its own adjustments, dosn't calibrate WOT, but tunes it in all the other cells, and knows weather to add or subtract fuel (fuel trims), this figure is used when going into WOT.
So you may gain 5hp, you may gain 20hp, who knows....

Yes you can get a few ponies 5-15 depending on the type of headers. Usually a tune for headers and intake is a bit cheaper than a tune for a heads and cam as there is less that needs to be changed.
It depends. Yes as it will make the most hp out your combo now. No I plan to do a cam and other modifications within a year I'll dyno tune when done.

well i took it to one of are sponsers and he said it will need to be tuned. so im guessing i should he knows more then i do . so im just gonna go on what he says
