Default bad computer?

on pin 57 using this link ....http://www.yarnell.org/pcm/.... i am getting a short, i have a nelson performance harness and was thinking it is a pretty good chance that its not the harness (but they are made by humans)

my computer came from a junk yard, and could have possibly have been damaged, any way to know?

i know the short is on this pin because after blowing 2 fuses i removed the computer and looked carfully at the connector, and only pin 57 is a bit burnt from the small sparks of a short.

i checked my wiring a few times and nothing is screwy there, and it is grounded to the frame

hit that pin on the harness with a test light and got a strong light, could it still be shorted and lit?
