asr randomly turns off

stalled a4...in the dallas area... my ASR randomly turns off...the shift points become a little longer...shifting at higher RPMS... it seems that when the tranny is too hott my ASR just turns off. I cant figure it out... It NEVER does this out west... only in dallas... and its much hotter here that in west texas right now.

Does anyone have a clue? Or is my car just a freak!?
