Default is my TPS bad?

ever since i programmed my computer my car occasionally gets "stuck" in a gear. meaning, it doesn't change gears until about 3500+rpms while just riding around town. the problem is not predictable or consistent. when it happens the SES light comes on briefly, but then goes out. i'm thinking that the voltage may be set wrong on the TPS? possibly the car thinks i'm at WOT and enters PE mode? and also i had a friend of mine run a diagnostic scanner on it and all it brought up was that the car was running rich. if i'm not mistaken i read somewhere that there is a correlation with TPS voltage and air/fuel. thanks for the help.

Its a $35 part at Advance. Get one and put it on. If it doesn't help return it.

I had your same symptoms and the TPS was the culprit and I never got a SES light.

you need to look at the history codes and freeze frame data to find out whats going on.
