Default PCM failure ?

If a pcm were to go bad due to a short or wires touching in the electrical system would the dummy lights in the dash of a car still come on and the odometer still come on when you turn the key over to get power for your accesories? (the car will not even start)

Default

The PCM is protected with fuses, just like the other circuits. If you were doing something and got a spark/short somewhere you probably blew the fuse for that circuit.
