Just intalled a xer cam and have zero throtle response. I have not driven the car yet but when i hit the throttle the engine has some serious lag. Is that normal for the first start without any tuning? Cams specs: 224/230 .581/.592 114. Should i take my car to a tune shop or spend the money and get a tuning software?

That is a healthy size cam to be running on a stock tune.

Spend the time to get it tuned, or purchase the software and do it yourself (best method).

I ran a 226/226 cam on the stock tune back in '01. The car ran pretty goofy and had NO bottom end.
