Default computer reprograming

a shop said i need to get it reprogrammed and on thursday im getting my converter put in... they will be doing a basic tune on the car but is that what i need or is there more involved in the process of reprogramming the computer?

If all you are doing is putting a converter in, you may not need any tuning changes unless your converter clutch can't hold as much torque as the factory one (I've seen this, believe it or not).

Having said all that, if you are running a stock tune you might see anyway from 15-30 RWHP by getting a tune for your computer.
